At semflux, we are committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of our clients' and users' personal information. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and — for users of our platform features that connect to social media and advertising accounts — exactly how that connected data is handled.1. - Contact and form information: Name, email address, phone number, company, and any details you submit through our contact, consultation, career, or ebook download forms.
- Account information: If you create an account on our platform, we collect your name, email, and login credentials for that account (stored securely, never in plain text).
- Connected social and advertising accounts: If you choose to link a social media account (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) or an advertising account (e.g. Google Ads, Meta Ads) to our platform, we receive limited access via that platform's official authorization system (OAuth) — for example, to schedule posts, read comments and inbox messages, or read campaign spend and pause a campaign on your behalf.
- Usage data: Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically via cookies and analytics tools.
2. What we do NOT collect or store
- We never see, request, or store your social media or advertising platform passwords. All connections are made through each platform's official, secure authorization flow (OAuth) — you approve a scoped set of permissions directly with Facebook, Instagram, Google, or the relevant platform, and we never have your login credentials for that platform.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your data — including your connected social media or advertising data — to any third party, advertiser, or data broker, under any circumstances.
- We do not use your connected social media or advertising data to train third-party AI/ML models, for advertising to you, or for any purpose beyond delivering the specific feature you enabled (e.g. scheduling your post, reading your inbox, monitoring your ad budget).
3. How connected platform data is used
When you link a social media or advertising account, the data we access through that connection (posts, comments, inbox messages, campaign performance, budget/spend figures) is used exclusively to provide the feature you activated, and is:
- Scoped to you only — your connected account data is never merged with, shown to, or accessible by other customers on our platform.
- Used only for the features you enable — for example: publishing scheduled posts at your chosen time, surfacing comments and inbox messages for you to review and reply to, and tracking ad spend against the budget you set so we can pause a campaign automatically if it hits your defined limit.
- Encrypted and access-controlled — authorization tokens are stored encrypted at rest, and access is limited to the automated systems that operate the specific feature, not viewed by staff except as required for support you request or to investigate abuse.
- Revocable at any time — you can disconnect any linked social media or advertising account at any time, either from within our platform or directly from that platform's own app-permissions settings (e.g. Facebook Settings > Business Integrations). Once disconnected, we stop pulling new data from that account and delete the associated access tokens.
4. Data security
- semflux takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, or unauthorized alteration of personal information and connected account data, including encryption of stored access tokens and SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit.
- No transmission of data over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure. While we take strong precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain account and connected-platform data only for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the features you use. If you delete your account or disconnect a linked platform, we delete the associated access tokens and cease further data collection from that account. You may request full deletion of your data at any time by contacting us below.
6. Cookies
We use cookies to understand browsing activity and preferences on our marketing website, and to keep you signed in on our platform. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
7. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
